On Vacation!
I'm on vacation!!! And boy it feels great!! The last time I had any vacation time, you would need to turn the clock back to May 2003, right after I finished my internship with Discreet Logic (now known today as Autodesk Media & Entertainment Solutions...Hey! Try to say that four times in row! Isn't that a mouth full or what? :) ).A lot has happened to me since, I've worked my butt off to be where I am today. Honestly, it will be quite refreshing taking some time off, not finding myself the whole day in front of a computer screen and thinking how to design or program a project for a full week!
"So John, where are you going on vacation?"
I'm heading to Youngstown, Ohio! We have relatives over there, all on my father's side. We are going there for a very special occasion, my second cousin is getting married this Saturday!!! He is more of a first cousin then a second really. My brother/girlfriend and myself will be staying at my cousin's new house in Akron, Ohio. Hometown of Lebron James, if this helps anyone ;) My parents, uncles and little cousins will be staying at my cousin's father's house.
It should be an exciting week ahead! We are leaving tomorrow morning around 5 am by minivan! According to MS Streets & Trips, it's a 960km (600 mile) trip. Here's the route we are taking:

Depending on traffic conditions, border crossing, eating and washroom stops, the trip can take well between 9 to 11 hours!
Seriously, I would feel bad leaving him at a friends house. I just know how Oliver would behave and drive all of you nuts! I'm afraid you would want to kill him after a day! :) Oliver can get very annoying when he doesn't get what he wants! He is an outdoor cat, quite the independent and the dominant kind!
Our neighbor will be feeding Oliver daily at our house. Good luck Oliver! Stay strong, play with your new toys and be nice! You'll get to go outside once again when we get back....Promised! :)

The Cat's House
Bob Walker and Frances Mooney is a married couple sharing a common love for cats! Since 1987, they have built a colorful and playful house as a tribute to the roles cats play in our daily lives. It's a house in which cats can simply be their feline selves! Welcome to The Cat's House! The house has been painted in over 40 bright colors with ramps, stairs, poles, holes and cat walks!
And I thought I was crazy for loving cats that much! Wow! These people are just insane! But I just love what they've done to the whole house! As for me, I would never do such a thing in my house........Or would I!
Head over to the cat's house and take the grand tour!

Thanks to Christie for this great find!
Till next time, tata!

Beware of SMS.ac!
From time to time, I get these emails inviting me to join a service called SMS.ac. All invitations are claimed to be from people I know. When I ask my friends about these invites, they usually deny they have sent or told SMS.ac to send me any of these emails.
What you might NOT know about this service might surprise you! Upon signing up to the service, they ask you to enter your hotmail password so they can grab your hotmail contacts and import them into your new account.
Here's a screenshot when signing up with SMS.ac:
I'm truly amazed! So many people have fallen and simply gave out their password away! It's stunning really! If it was for another service, would people be willing to give out personal information or even, let's say, a password to their personal banking account???
What SMS.ac does with your address book is anyone's guess. All I know is I get "spammed" with invitations on my email accounts every 2-3 months and SMS.ac can easily sell our emails to advertisers.
There are other services which pull off the same trick on users. Services like hi5.com for instance:
All I can recommend to people is to be very prudent and very careful when you have to give out information on the web. Take a step back, take a deep breath and make better judgments about these things! Do they really need this information?

Stuff on my cat
Here's a nice find!Stuff on My Cat is a site with a huge collection of pictures of cats where pet owners have piled stuff on them! Hehehe quite a funny and yet cruel idea! Here's a few photos:

Head over to Stuff on My Cat for more pictures!
If you haven't noticed, I have added a couple of goodies on this site. First of all, you can now all see what kind of crappy music I listen to! You might as well go on the shoutbox and tell me how I have poor taste in music! :) If not, just say hello! Just add your name, add a lovely message and presto!
Have yourself a good one everybody!

New layout
Well I have released my new layout for my blog! It should work for all browsers under windows. Enough with this technical mumbo jumbo! Hey! I'm looking for a new hobby people! Well my old hobby used to be web designing but that turned as my full time job! So I need something new! Depending what happens tomorrow, I might be getting a professional digital camera this week!
I want to develop photography as my new hobby as I have grown a great passion for it recently! It's really something I want to get into and really considering going for! Stay tuned...
