Back From Seattle!
Well, I'm back from rainy Seattle and I'm sane!! :) Even though my stay in the rainy city was brief, I really enjoyed it!! I'm bringing back with me some great memories and a great travel experience to say at least! The plane trips were good and yet also bad for me! Why you say? Well here's the story. On our way to Seattle Washington, we had a connection flight with Chicago. Our tickets were booked and confirmed with expedia's corporate travel. When we got to Montreal Airport, the airline was only able to print the first flight for the 5 of us for some reason.... As for the 2nd ticket, they told us when we get to Chicago, go to the United counter and they will print our tickets as we get there.
When we arrived in Chicago and asked for our tickets, the person at the counter told us our names weren't checked in!!! And we would possibly miss this flight! They didn't know we were coming in for this flight! Because of that, our tickets were taken away by other passengers who bought at the last minute and we had to wait now!!! What the heck!
If we weren't able to get onto that flight, United would try to get us on a flight 2 hours later...if not a hotel would be booked for the night and we would have reservations for a flight the next morning! OMG! It was intense!
As time kept on ticking away, the pressure, stress and anxiety kept on rising! It was truly an Amazing Race moment! Are we going to make it? Are we going to miss our flight? :)At the last minute, people did not show up for this flight, we got free tickets and got on the plane! Lucky us! But the story doesn't finish here...
As I get on the plane, in which the flight would last just about 4 hours and half, the entire overhead compartment was full! So I had to bring my carry-on luggage with me to my very tight seat! I had difficulty moving my legs already by just sitting down. Now, I had this luggage on my thighs and needed to figure a way to put it under the seat in front of me! I finally manage to get it under the seat, but I wasn't able to move my legs at all now! It was the longest 4 hours and a half of my life!!! :)
The overall experience was nice in Seattle, although it rained everyday....well for about 26 straights days now! ( That's winter for them over there! ) Despite that, it was a blast! I had to meet and talk with many Seattle co-workers. It was awesome! I just hope next time we'll have time to visit the city and do some sight seeing. We really did not have much time to do any.
Here are a few snapshots from my trip. If you want to see my full album (188 pictures), contact me personally by email or Instant messengers!

Awesome view of the incoming and outomcing traffic. There's a long lineup of cars going in or out of town, you had to be there to truely capture this.

I attended my first ever NBA game. It was the Sonics vs. the Magics. We had lodge seats and there even was a fight at the game! :)
I didn't get the chacne to do any "creative" shots during my stay, most of my pics taken are more touristic oriented. This was the only moment i spent time doing creative shots.

Here are shots just after take off from Seattle! We had a fantastic and incredible view of the landscape and mountains. Posted by John Parillo at 1/15/2006
