Arcadia Festival 2005
I attended the first annual Arcadia festival over the weekend! ARCADIA festival is the one and only public event created for video game enthusiasts from across Canada. Its goal was to bring together a host of gamers, both novices and experts a like, and provide them with a forum to explore the world of video games while fostering contact and communication among participants in a gaming zone. I Had a good a pretty good time. I'm pretty happy to come off winner at my nhl 2006 hockey game i played on the gamecube.
Thanks again Marc for the tickets! And thanks for coming Rocco and Ekram! ;)
The festival took place at the CEPSUM forum in Montreal from Nov 4th to the 6th. The arena was divided into the following sections:
- The gaming zone (xbox, playstation, nintendo): Gamers had access to a massive variety of current games and also had the privilege of testing new products.
- The flashback zone (coleco, atari, nes, genesis): Retro theme zone with scarce and classic consoles such as Atari, NES, Sega, Neo Geo, Coleco, 3D0.
- The pc zone: 40 pc stations linked to gaming mayhem! :)
- The arcademique zone: Gaming conferences and demos
- The Arcadia scene: Entertainment centre with live music dj performances, celebrity challenges and DDR (Dance Dance revolution) competitions.
